Accessibility

We want anyone in Henderson to be able to book a laundry pickup, whatever they use to browse the web. If any part of this site gets in your way, tell us and we will fix it — and in the meantime we will book your pickup for you over the phone or by email.

The standard we build to

We aim to meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. That is the benchmark generally used to judge whether a website is usable by people with disabilities, and it is the target we hold ourselves to as the site changes.

What we have done

• Every page can be operated with a keyboard alone, and the focused element is always visibly outlined.
• A "skip to content" link is the first thing a screen reader or keyboard user reaches.
• Text and background colours were chosen and tested to meet the AA contrast ratio, including the grey used for secondary text.
• Images carry text alternatives, and decorative images are hidden from screen readers rather than announced as noise.
• The booking form uses real labels tied to real inputs, and errors are announced rather than shown only as a colour.
• Animation is reduced automatically for anyone whose device asks for reduced motion.
• Headings are in a real order, so a screen reader can navigate the page by structure.
• The site works at any zoom level and on small screens without content being lost.

Where we know we fall short

We are a small business and this is an honest list rather than a marketing claim. The parallax illustration on the home page is decorative and conveys no information, but it is a busy visual; it is hidden from screen readers and stops moving if you have reduced motion switched on. The chat window is functional with a keyboard but has had less screen-reader testing than the booking form. We re-test the booking flow whenever we change it, because that is the part that has to work for everyone.

You never have to use this website to be a customer. If the site is difficult for you for any reason, email hello@everlastlaundrylv.com or text the number in the footer, and a person will take your pickup details, prices and all, at no extra cost.

Tell us about a problem

If you hit a barrier, please tell us what page you were on, what you were trying to do, and what you use to browse — a screen reader, voice control, keyboard only, magnification. Email hello@everlastlaundrylv.com. We aim to reply within three business days and to fix confirmed problems as quickly as we reasonably can. If we cannot fix something quickly, we will tell you the workaround and when we expect the real fix.

Third-party pieces

Our checkout is hosted by Stripe and our maps and analytics come from third parties. We chose providers who publish their own accessibility commitments, but we do not control their code. If one of them blocks you, tell us anyway — we can take your booking directly.
